Roofing project Manager

Job Summary:
The Roofing Project Manager (RPM) is primarily charged with project oversight on all roofing jobs and management on all roofing teams and subcontractors. They will also support the sales team by performing residential roof inspections during the initial quoting process. The RPM will oversee the entire roofing project from start to completion. The RPM will manage the schedule for the construction crew and will work closely with the field, consisting of Superintendents, team leads and installers to ensure accurate completion of the project on time and on budget.
Essential Responsibilities:
General –
· Attend all weekly Construction Management meetings as needed (L-10 & Big Board).
· Create and maintain relationships with all customers, crew, subcontractors, AHJ’s and utilities.
· Arrive at or before call-time to see crew(s) off in the morning, providing accountability around attendance, daily job assignments, processes & procedures.
· Ensure that all Construction tasks are performed per AS&R construction procedures and manufacturer’s installation guidelines.
· Visit all current active job sites for assigned projects a minimum of three times: initial pre-construction walk-through, once during the time of construction and at the time of commissioning.
· Maintain an intimate knowledge of the AS&R Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and any updates; perform job duties in accordance with the IIPP; always enforce the IIPP.
· Report all major accidents to the Director of Construction immediately. Complete Incident Report for all major and minor accidents that have happened on job site.
· Maintain an intimate knowledge of the AS&R Employee Handbook and any updates.
· Support the identification, hiring & onboarding of new crew members in coordination with HR.
· When requested, assist the Sales team by providing home inspections for new sales quotes.
Control of Assigned Projects –
· Client Communication: Communicate with clients regarding scheduling of their project construction from beginning to end. Weekly updates are required to maintain the highest levels of customer service. Document communication in CRM software
· Change Orders: Create & communicate to customers any change orders that need to be completed during construction.
· Cost Control: Understand projects’ initial allocated budget for materials, labor, etc.
· Scheduling Construction: All projects must be scheduled in the AS&R database. Keep the database always updated to ensure accuracy and facilitate support work from other departments.
· Job Completion: Ensure Quality Check (QC) occurs during and after construction. Direct individuals or subcontractors that performed original work to perform any rework required to meet QC standards. Complete QC part of job report.
· As-Builts: Review and upload as-built photos and QA checklist on completed projects.
· Collect Payment: Collect payments from customers upon completion of projects.

Desired Qualifications:
· Education: B. A/B. S degree or higher in a related field or 5+ years equivalent experience
· Experience: 5+ years equivalent experience as a project manager or roofing superintendent.
· Must have a clean driving record and valid driver license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (other languages a bonus)
· Ability to unravel complicated situations and provide clear guidance for possible solutions with others
· Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities and work independently within time constraints.
· Ability to work effectively, positively and cooperatively with other staff, customers and the public.
· Ability to adapt to changing procedures that will better help the construction department develop and grow.

· Extensive knowledge/experience related to construction, and roofing codes (NEC, IRC, IFC, & TRI)
· Experience with Excel, Word, Google Drive, Salesforce and record keeping/data entry
· Experience with customer service operations and customer relationship management
Physical Qualifications – Required:
· Going into the field requires a high level of dexterity, balance, and coordination; the ability to withstand extreme temperatures in the work environment is required; ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs. is required
· Long stretches of time sitting using a computer
· Extended periods of time reading a computer screen
· Repetitive motion for data entry (typing/clicking)
· Ability to sit, stand and climb stairs for a reasonable amount of time
· Ability to travel out of town on work-related business (less than 15% of time)
