Solar Project Manager
Job Location: Phoenix, AZ
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $77,045.00 per year
The Project Manger is primarily charged with ensuring a positive customer experience. This achieved through high levels of communication during the planning phase and delivery of quality product held to the highest industry standards. The Project Manager will manage the schedule for the construction crew and will work closely with the crew consisting of a team lead and installers. The Project Manger will be expected to review contracts prior to the start of work as well as compare the final results to the original estimated figures
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety policies outlined in the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP), enforce compliance, and report all incidents to the Safety Manager.
- Ensure all construction work meets manufacturer guidelines and AS&R procedures while managing subcontractor, utility, and AHJ relationships.
- Oversee assigned projects from pre-construction to completion, including scheduling, cost control, client communication, inspections, and quality checks.
- Conduct site visits, submit pre-construction documents, complete material requests promptly, and continuously update project databases for accuracy.
- Collaborate with HR and other Project Managers to manage labor efficiency, conduct crew performance reviews, and support recruitment and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong skills are required in each of the following areas: writing; reading comprehension; interpersonal; organizational; verbal communication; customer service; and computer skills.
- Managerial experience (preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of construction (required)
- A high level of dexterity, balance, and coordination (required)
- The ability to withstand extreme temperatures in the work environment (required)
- Clean driving record (required)
- Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.
- A four year degree (preferred)
- Active pursuit of NABCEP Certification (preferred)
- Strong code knowledge is required with particular attentions to the NEC, IRC, IFC, the TRI, and the roofing codes.
