Marketing Intern
Job Location: Phoenix, AZ
Job Type: Part Time 15-20 hours/week
Pay: $18/Hour
The Marketing Intern will play a key role in supporting Visionary’s podcast as part of the broader marketing team. This role blends production assistance with marketing coordination. The intern will help prepare each episode, manage communication with guests, and organize the full recording process. They will support storytelling efforts by helping gather content, structure episode notes, and keep all materials organized for the marketing team. This position gives hands-on experience in both content creation and behind-the-scenes production, offering a strong introduction to media, branding, and professional communication.
Responsibilities
Pre-Production
- Coordinate recording schedules and confirm guest availability
- Share logistics and prep materials with guests before each session
- Prepare simple notes, talking points, and background information
- Set up the recording space so it is clean and ready
Recording Support
- Set up microphones, cameras, lighting, and software
- Test audio levels and troubleshoot simple setup issues
- Monitor sound and video quality during sessions
- Break down and store equipment after recording
- Save and back up all raw audio and video files
Post-Production Support
- Organize recorded files and maintain a clean folder system
- Pull timestamps and key moments for editors
- Draft simple episode summaries or descriptions
Marketing & Content Support
- Clip short audio or video moments for social media if trained
- Help gather guest bios, quotes, and assets for marketing use
- Support content planning with notes and highlights from episodes
- Keep production checklists and episode trackers updated
- Assist with follow-up emails and basic admin tasks
Qualifications
- Marketing or Film/Media degree in-progress or completed (required)
- Able to capture and edit content using an iPhone or digital camera (required)
- Able to use a computer (required)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Interest in marketing, media, podcasting, or digital storytelling
- Ability to learn equipment setup and simple troubleshooting
- Comfortable managing schedules and deadlines
- Detail-focused and reliable
- Basic experience with audio or video tools is a plus but not required
