Ms. Jameson is a serial entrepreneur, accomplished business leader, mentor, and proven market strategist, with extensive experience in international sales, marketing, and partner management.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Marketing from Colorado State University and a MA in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. She serves the American Solar & Roofing team as our Chief Operating Officer, where her leadership and experience are vital ingredients for our next phase of growth and service.

Before joining American Solar & Roofing, Ms. Jameson established herself as a pioneering and innovative technology business leader, launching many successful start-ups and coaching dozens of others. Among her own companies, she founded the leadership coaching company Potentiate in 2001 and was the founder and CEO of Colnatec, the world’s only company that designed and developed state-of-the-art manufacturing process control sensors for thin film measurement of high-temperature processes. Colnatec was also the first Phoenix-based winner of the Arizona Innovation Challenge Grant, winning for its innovative process control sensor used in thin film solar cell manufacturing. Today, Wendy continues to coach entrepreneurs at the Arizona Commerce Authority through its Venture Ready program.

In between all of her many business and leadership successes, she remains active in technology communities, including her time as a member of the Board of Directors for medical device startup, VieConnect US, coaching a SaaS-based fintech startup as a Flinn Foundation Bioscience Entrepreneurship Program mentor, evaluating entrepreneurial research projects as a Technical Grant Reviewer for the US National Science Foundation SBIR Program, and advising Arizona economic development agencies as an Adjunct Member of the District Export Council. She also served on the Steering and Executive Committees for the Brookings Institute-JP Morgan Chase Global Cities Initiative. She has been recognized as “Tech Titan” by the Phoenix Business Journal for her community leadership in science and technology. In 2013, she was named one of the “50 Most Influential Women in Arizona Business” by Arizona Business Magazine.

Most recently, Wendy led global sales and marketing for two medical device startups and co-founded a multi-award-winning, thin-film electronics manufacturing business with sales in 50+ countries and partners in 17 countries, achieving status as second in global market share. Her efforts at driving international trade policy, energy equity across nations, and entrepreneurial job creation brought her to the White House four times, earning a White House “Champion of Change” award in 2011.  Her extensive experience in international entrepreneurship also earned her selection by the US Department of State as one of 100 entrepreneurs in the USA to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit at Stanford University, where she advised Facebook and IDEO on global energy equity initiatives.

Ms. Jameson resides in Phoenix, Arizona, where she enjoys mentoring young entrepreneurs and advocating for small businesses and STEM education.
