Construction Accountant
Reports to: Integrator/COO
Type: Full Time, Salary
The Construction Accountant oversees the Finance/Accounting/Inventory operations of American Solar & Roofing. They work directly with Company Leaders to implement financial strategies and manages the Company’s internal accounting personnel and external accounting consultants.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Leadership, Management, & Accountability (LMA) of Finance, HR, and Administration Department, including internal personnel and external consultants
- Develops Budgets, track performance against the Budgets and report Budget-to-Actual data to the Leadership Team
- Prepares detailed reports on Company’s financial performance, including Monthly Quarterly, Year to date Financial Statements
- Responsible for Daily accounting functions such as cash account management, A/P, A/R, and payroll administration, including monthly sales tax reports
- Manage and maintain company insurance policies including Builders Risk, General Liability, Workers’ Comp, etc.; Complete annual GL and WC audits and review premium costs
- Oversees internal inventory management processes/controls
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Hands on, self-starting, individual with ability to work independently in a high-volume environment that requires a work product that is highly accurate and timely
- Successful in dealing with vendor, customer, and company personnel at all levels
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop Pro is required
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, MS Word) is required
Desired Qualifications:
- A./B.S. in Accounting or Finance from an accredited program (Required)
- MBA, MSF or MAcc
- CMA Certification
